For being a creative service and actually fun for the REAL RPers out there some people can give some negative crap.

Hell even in FFXI you can get married which I thought was pretty cool for RPing wise... I must say it has to be hard to RP in Guildwars when nearly no ones does so. =P

I'm a RPer but I hardly do it in GW because..well I can't find anyone who would really.. Sad a MMORPG isn't actually one unless there's reall RPing going on.

Anyway I think this is a good way to make money and have fun with it for those who want the service.

Besides.. wtf are those with all the riches from playing are going to do with it when they already have all the weapons and whatnot they want/need? rather have this as a goldsink than anything else!

You know this is not a bad idea, I know 2 couples that would be interested in this service.

There is one problem, I dont like the idea of advocateing Gay marriages. I don't think its right. Now i understand some guys make female chars as did I so when i decide to marry the person i want to marry it will be 2 girl chars. HOWEVER we are not claiming a gay marriage. I know many places allow gay marriages now but I think its terriable and don't think it should be allowed in Guild Wars. GW is a great game, lets not ruin it with carpet munchers or corn hole lickers.. thats just wrong.

Ok not only do i think thats stupid, but offensive as well. 'Ruin the game?' How on earth will this service in any way change the game. I mean can you even tell when 2 people are married? Its not like they're going to be having sex in the middle of ascalon city and telling everyone its ok cause they are married. Argh, this will probably turn into a gay marriage debate now, and i apologise if it does. I just hate people trying to force their beliefs onto others, in this case the thousands of people on Guild Wars.

Don't know about you but where i come from there is a such thing as "Freedom Of Speech" I am free to speak my opinion as I wish. I am not imposing anything on anyone. But im tired of the debate on gay marriage in our countrys political arena, and im sure as heck not going to put up with it on guild wars. I did not say that to debate it, I was simply stateing an opinion and if your offended then don't read it.

And if it is just a game why would someone even ask if the person that is offering these services to marry gay people in the game.

True it is just a game, so leave it as that and don't make sexual orientation a part of it. Marry characters weather or not a person is gay or not who care leave it out.

If you are TRULY interested in this service, then u need to go outside and make some real life friends, the ones that can help you if you have a Real Problem, (by that i dont mean u got cheated by a runner to Droknars Forge)...

Still think this service is fine.. If you do it.. it's for laughs or just for fun. some people would enjoy running in UW/FoW or GvG for hours on end that's them but people can enjoy getting married (regardless of sexuality) and just enjoy the game that way as well. Basically what else is there to do until the next expansion pack for the games besides SF UW FoW PvP GvG HoH after you've done them all and make more money you'll ever need?

This is a game. Obviously people who criticise the idea of having in-game marriages never played any RP game, online, or pen-paper. Idea is old and explored in many other games, many times. And it is normal, not weird.

Because, as it happens, there are people who enjoy role-playing, as opposed to purely, ''press-the-right-button-at-the-right-time'' playing.

And anyway, didn't the guy who started the wedding service leave the game a month ago or so?

@FireFenix: Hmmm, let me see. I had few gf, few lovers, now I have a wife. I play games for over 20 years now, many of those years spent playing RPG [pen and paper], few years on the net. Somehow, I managed to get involved with bunches of pixels from time to time, or with a sheet of paper and some numbers on it [in classic RPG]. And man, I am not sad at all. Sad are people who can't understand what it means to have fun.
